Mertes M.P.M., Project Management Specialist
Ms. Mertes is an Environmental Management Specialist at
RCF. Ms. Mertes has an extensive background in
environmental management, with additional experience in
financial planning and management. She spent 9 years at
Commonwealth Edison Company/Exelon, which included two
years in the corporate financial and strategic planning
area and seven years in environmental project and program
management. She had three years of prior experience in
environmental engineering and consulting working in
Washington, DC.
Ms. Mertes has been involved in the successful development
and implementation of many types of environmental programs
including large multi-site remediation programs,
environmental regulatory compliance and training programs,
environmental real estate due diligence programs, and an
internal environmental audit program. She participated in
financial forecasting and planning with several business
units of Commonwealth Edison. Additionally, Ms. Mertes has
worked closely with regulators, financial stakeholders, and
the public to gain consensus for environmental project
solutions.
Ms. Mertes holds an M.P.M. in Environmental Project
Management from Northwestern University, and a B.S. in
Civil Engineering from Lehigh University.
