Kant M.
Desai, M.P.P., Economist
Mr. Desai is an Economist at RCF. He is active in several
practice areas including econometric analysis, energy and
environmental policy, and urban development. One of his
chief duties at RCF is the econometric analysis of
International mail demand. He has developed the regression
and forecasting system used to produce quarterly volume and
revenue forecasts for International mail. Other active
projects include; Hydrogen Energy Infrastructure, Hedonic
Analysis of Residential Real Estate in Chicago, Analysis of
Houston's Air Quality Policy, and Economic Benefits of
Green Building.
His previous research work includes the economics of
nuclear power and progress of electricity market
restructuring. Mr. Desai also spent time in the physical
sciences conducting research related to biomass energy at
the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
Mr. Desai holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy with
concentration in Economics from the University of Chicago
and a B.A. in Chemistry from Kalamazoo College.
