Mr. Liu is a Senior Economist at RCF where he conducts economic and econometric analysis on a range of subjects. His work includes a study of real estate prices in Chicago communities, constructing price indices for econometric estimation and quantifying impacts of special events on postal demand. He has developed and operates quality-control programs for RCF’s demand forecasting system for the U.S. Postal Service. He is also active in environmental and energy policy projects.
Mr. Liu, a certified SAS programmer, has hands-on experience in applying econometric techniques to real-world problems. Besides working at RCF, Mr. Liu worked as a Research Assistant at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where he was engaged in academic research in political science and accounting. Mr. Liu also worked as an Analyst for an International Bank in Hong Kong, covering economies of Greater China region.
Mr. Liu received his M.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He also holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Economics from Peking University, the People’s Republic of China.
