Mr. Liu is a Senior Economist at RCF where he conducts economic and econometric analysis on a range of subjects. His work includes a study of real estate prices in Chicago communities, constructing price indices for econometric estimation and quantifying impacts of special events on product demand in the mail and package delivery industry. Mr. Liu, a certified SAS programmer, has hands-on experience in applying econometric techniques to real-world problems and works extensively on econometric modeling, estimation and statistical testing for demand forecasting purposes. He has developed and operates quality-control programs for RCF’s demand forecasting system. He is also active in environmental and energy policy projects.
Besides working at RCF, Mr. Liu worked as a Research Assistant at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where he was engaged in academic research in political science and accounting.
Mr. Liu received an M.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He also holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Economics from Peking University.
