Mahir Hossain, Economist

Mr. Hossain is an Economist at RCF where his responsibilities encompass the analysis and optimization of demand equations, the execution of econometric forecasting tailored to client needs, assistance in survey data database maintenance, and aid in the provision of macroeconomic forecasts. Mr. Hossain also conducts research into industries such as E-Commerce, Advertising and Marketing, Payment Transactions, and Technology Usage.

Prior to joining RCF Mr. Hossain worked as a Derivatives Operations Analyst at Deutsche Boerse Group – Eurex. There he oversaw and analyzed trading volumes as part of the Fixed Income Derivatives Sales team. Mr. Hossain has also done work for the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, Switzerland as a Data Analyst Intern. There he conducted in-depth analysis of trade performance and economic data for Least Developed Countries (LDCs), more specifically, working on a project evaluating the graduation status of LDCs post-COVID 19 lockdowns.

Mr. Hossain received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago.
